Christian Aid commits to supporting country teams and local partners to trial the use of the Washington Group questions.
Timeframe and/or implementation plan (75 words limit)
Christian Aid will build the capacity of country teams and partners to communicate effectively with persons with disabilities and raise awareness of attitudinal barriers to their inclusion. Our timeframe will be 1-2 years.
B. Commitments for Women and Girls with Disabilities
Please enter the exact wording of the commitment/s, including details of others who have supported its development (75 words limit): Christian Aid commits to supporting country teams and local partners who trial the Washington Group questions to adopt an intersectional lens and use Christian Aid’s Inclusive Programming Approach to ensure that women and girls with disabilities are not left behind.

Christian Aid will build the capacity of country teams and partners to communicate effectively with persons with disabilities, and raise awareness of attitudinal barriers to their inclusion focusing on gender as an intersecting inequality. Our timeframe will be 1-2 years.

Christian Aid commits to promoting the implementation of the Humanitarian Inclusion Standards for Older People and People with Disabilities

Christian Aid will sensitise and promote the Humanitarian Inclusion Standards with humanitarian programmes and partners. Our timeframe will be 1-3 years.

Christian Aid commits to building the capacity of country teams and local partners to address the specific needs of persons with disabilities in humanitarian settings.

Christian Aid will train staff and partners to consult directly with persons with disabilities during humanitarian crises to understand the risks they face, their needs and capacities. Our timeframe will be 1- 3 years.
