The Cladding Safety Scheme (CSS) is a fund that addresses fire risks associated with cladding on residential buildings.

These documents include guidance on who can apply and how to apply for funding.

  1. In 'Applying for funding from the Cladding Safety Scheme' a link has been added to the Code of Practice for the remediation of residential buildings.

  2. 'Applying for funding from the Cladding Safety Scheme' has been amended to show that evidence of leaseholder engagement for the lifetime of any works is a condition to receive grant payment. This is stated in the Code of Practice for the Remediation of Residential Buildings.

  3. 'Applying for funding for the Cladding Safety Scheme' has been amended to make clear when funds are paid and make clear that bank account changes can cause delay. We've also made it clearer what evidence is needed to support your signed cost report form.

  4. 'Applying for funding for the Cladding Safety Scheme' has been amended to show that only the initial applicant is able to administer a funding request and this cannot be changed.

  7. 'Applying for funding for the Cladding Safety Scheme' has been amended to reflect changes in how applicants should declare third party contributions.

  8. Amends to ‘Applying for funding for the Cladding Safety Scheme’ to make it clear that you must inform Homes England immediately when changing your bank account details.

  9. Amends to 'Cladding Safety Scheme overview' to make clear that unsuccessful attempts to recover costs from third parties cannot be met by CSS or paid from grant funding awarded for eligible remediation works.

  10. Amends to 'Cladding Safety Scheme overview' to make financial support available clearer. Amends to 'Applying for funding for the Cladding Safety Scheme' to make sections on pre-tender support, cost schedule, and schedule of works clearer. Amends to 'Eligibility: Summary' to make definition of physically connected buildings clearer.
