Clemency Ives, Stephanie Williams and Octavia Williams trading as Brickworth Park Farms has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a licence to obstruct or impede the flow of Atherfield Brook in the Shepherd’s Chine, Isle of Wight at National Grid Reference SZ 44853 79856.
Water is currently impounded by a structure installed in 1972, that fills a reservoir of 2,273 cubic metres capacity and stores water for use in subsequent spray irrigation.
The application has been made following the lapse of a previous licence and seeks to replace the lapsed licence on materially the same terms.
