The meeting was attended by teams from across the CMA, including Senior Directors, and the People, Capability and Culture team, DaTA team and the Subsidy Advice Unit.
Minutes
1 . Introduction
The Chair welcomed the Board members to the meeting, noting that there were no apologies.
2 . CEO comments including a pipeline update
The Interim CEO updated the Board on recent work and cases in the CMA, including an update on the first meeting of the new Resourcing, Portfolio and Pipeline Committee.
3 . Shaping the future CMA – Theme 1 Values
The Board approved the new CMA values which reflect the culture of the CMA including how CMA staff work together, and how we carry out our work. These new values will be underpinned by the Civil Service values.
4 . Staff survey organisational level report – overview
The Board considered the headline results from the 2022 Staff Survey, noting that it will receive more detailed results and analysis, alongside details on how the CMA plans to respond, after Christmas.
5 . DaTA team strategy
The Board discussed the DaTA team’s progress over the last 12 months and its priorities for the coming year, noting the importance of this team in supporting the CMA’s casework and projects, particularly in the wider context of the expected enactment of the Digital Markets Unit legislation.
6 . Subsidy Advice Unit – Teach in
The Board received a briefing on the Subsidy Advice Unit in advance of its formal launch on 4 January 2023.
