The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) is responsible for carrying out market studies and investigations in markets where there may be competition and/or consumer problems.

This work can result in recommendations to government, industry, regulators and others as part of remedies designed to improve the functioning of those markets. The documents above summarise the recommendations made by the CMA and responses (where available) since 1 April 2014.

For a list of all the markets orders and undertakings see our register.

We have also published a summary of our recommendations to government under our power to recommend.
