CMA takes action against HSBC for breaching Part 5 of the Retail Banking Order

CMA finds breaches of Part 5 of the Retail Banking Market Investigation Order 2017 and HSBC has agreed to take action to prevent a recurrence.

Details

HSBC failed to send an estimated 12,200 Payment Transaction Histories to former BCA holders between when Part 5 of the Order came into effect in February 2018 and December 2022. HSBC has now taken steps to end the breaches and to prevent a recurrence.
