Details

This response sets out the Competition and Markets Authority’s (CMA) views on the government’s proposals for a new aviation strategy including on:

  • the regulatory framework both in the UK and internationally
  • how to promote effective competition in the aviation sector including through reforming the allocation of slots at airports
  • the importance of surface access to airports
  • how to improve the passenger experience from booking to landing

In December 2018, following a request from DfT, the CMA published advice on competition impacts of airport slot allocation.
