Details

This report summarises the findings of the Focus on Enforcement (FoE) review of enforcement as it affects coastal projects and investments. It covers:

  • balance between growth and the environment
  • overlaps between regulators
  • timescales
  • the applicant’s experience of the system
  • the regulators

FoE reviews examine the impact of regulatory delivery and enforcement in particular sectors or areas of the economy. Each review is a short, sharp investigation of stakeholder experiences and evidence. They are carried out by a small review team and typically involve a six to eight week fieldwork phase.
