Details

The Coastal Revival Fund helps kick start regeneration of ‘at risk’ coastal heritage that are important to local communities and that have the potential to create opportunities for new economic uses or are facing neglect.

Since 2015 we have provided £7.5 million to help 184 coastal areas bring coastal heritage assets back into economic use. In 2018 to 2019 over £3.8 million of Coastal Revival Fund has been awarded to 92 successful projects.

Examples of eligible sites and assets include seafronts and public squares, as well as piers, parks, promenades, lighthouses, lidos, marinas, military structures and so on.

The prospectus explained the requirements to be fulfilled to access the funding covering:

  • eligibility for funding
  • criteria and expected outputs
  • transparency and engagement
  • how to apply
