Details

CIFs are established by schemes made by the Charity Commission. A scheme is a legal document which the commission may make to establish, amend, replace or amplify the trusts of a charity.

The commission’s model schemes for CIFs reflect the requirements of the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) as well as the role of the commission in the regulation of the funds.
