The first COP26 Devolved Administrations Ministerial Group took place today. The meeting was chaired by the COP President Designate, Rt Hon Alok Sharma MP.

The attending Ministers were:

From the UK Government: COP President Designate, Rt Hon Alok Sharma MP; Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Scotland, Iain Stewart MP; Secretary of State for Wales, Rt Hon Simon Hart MP; Minister of State for Northern Ireland, Robin Walker MP.

From the Scottish Government: Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform, Roseanna Cunningham MSP.

From the Welsh Government: Minister for Environment, Energy and Rural Affairs, Lesley Griffiths MS.

From the Northern Ireland Executive: Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs, Edwin Poots MLA.

The Ministerial Group discussed the UK Presidency Objectives for COP and public and stakeholder engagement on COP26.
