This briefing for councillors, senior council officers and commissioners was published by Public Health England (PHE) and the Local Government Association (LGA) to champion the role of community pharmacies in local primary care.

A number of case studies are included to illustrate a variety of collaborative approaches by community pharmacies working with councils and other community partners to improve the health of the population and reduce health inequalities in communities.
