The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) is the UK’s lead competition and consumer authority.
Our annual plan explains how we will protect consumers, foster competition and support low carbon growth right across the UK. Promoting competition will be more important than ever before as the UK faces significant increases in the cost of living and the CMA will continue to develop a deeper understanding of the impact on businesses and consumers, particularly those who are the most vulnerable in our society.
This comes as the CMA continues to develop and embed our significant new responsibilities, including:
- the Office for the Internal Market (OIM)
- the Digital Markets Unit (DMU)
- preparations for the Subsidy Advice Unit (SAU)
The CMA will continue to expand its presence in the UK’s nations and regions.
