Details

This statutory sector guidance (SG) note sets out the best available techniques (BAT) for manufacturing composite wood under integrated pollution prevention and control.

This SG includes manufacturing of all types of composite wood based board, including:

  • wood particleboard
  • oriented strand board
  • wood fibreboard
  • plywood
  • cement-bonded particleboard

Manufacturing composite wood based board is an ‘A(2)’ activity under the local authority pollution prevention and control (LAPPC) regime.
