Details

In recent years, the global financial markets have become a complex adaptive ultra-large-scale socio-technical system-of-systems. This report looks at the lessons from the ‘Flash Crash’ in May 2010 and reviews new tools, techniques and practices which could prevent such failures from re-occurring.

This review was commissioned as part of the Foresight project on the future of computer trading.
