Details

As an independent member of the World Trade Organization (WTO) the UK is responsible for its compliance with the terms of the WTO agreements.

This concordat:

  • formalises how the UK government and devolved administrations work together to ensure compliance with our obligations and commitments on the use and notification of domestic support (farm subsidies) under the WTO Agreement on Agriculture
  • sets the framework through which the relevant activities and interests of the UK and the devolved administrations will be represented at the WTO Committee on Agriculture
