Details

On 7 November 2016, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) organised a roundtable with competition advisers and regulators to discuss the CMA’s current and possible future use of confidentiality rings and disclosure rooms to disclose relevant information in its investigations. The summary outlines the main points raised at the discussion.

The CMA has also published templates for the undertakings given by parties or individuals granted access to information in a confidentiality ring or disclosure room, and associated template disclosure room rules. These will form the starting point for undertakings and rules used in future CMA market investigations.
