Details

The project analyses the level of impact of congested values of travel time on appraisals of highway schemes.

The purpose was to:

  • test practical implementation of congested values of travel time (CVTT) via case study in assignment and demand modelling, and appraisal
  • analyse the potential level of impact that CVTT has on the appraisal of highways schemes
  • investigate potential barriers in existing transport models that could hinder the implementation of CVTT and suggest potential remedies

This research, conducted in 2019, contributes to the development of our appraisal and modelling strategy.
