This annual update sets out the progress government has made over the past year on the policy mechanisms implemented under the formerly titled Electricity Market Reform (EMR) programme as set out under part 2 of the Energy Act 2013.

In 2014 and 2015, the annual update was titled the EMR Annual Update. The name of the report has been changed this year to reflect the fact that the EMR programme closed in 2015.
