This document contains the following information: Convention established by the Council in accordance with article 34 of the Treaty on European Union, on mutual assistance in criminal matters between the member states of the European Union: Brussels, 29 May 2000.

The United Kingdom instrument of adoption was deposited on 22 September 2005 and the Convention entered into force for the United Kingdom on 21 December 2005. The Convention was previously published as EC series no. 7 (2001) Cm. 5229 (ISBN 9780101522922).

This Command Paper was laid before Parliament by a Government Minister by Command of Her Majesty. Command Papers are considered by the Government to be of interest to Parliament but are not required to be presented by legislation.
