Coronavirus (COVID-19) recovery premium funding: allocations and conditions of grant 2023 to 2024

Details

Recovery premium (RP) grant provides additional funding for state-funded schools in England to support the education recovery of disadvantaged pupils following the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Schools and local authorities must follow the terms and conditions set out in the RP conditions of grant.

Published allocations

Allocations will be published ahead of each instalment of RP grant.

The first instalment of RP grant for the 2023 to 2024 academic year was paid in September 2023 to local authorities and in October 2023 to academies.

The second instalment was paid to local authorities in December 2023 and in January 2024 to academies.

The third instalment was paid to local authorities in March 2024 and to academies in April 2024.

The fourth instalment will be paid to local authorities in June 2024 and academies in July 2024. The June 2024 allocation is the final payment of the 2023 to 2024 academic year.
