This document sets out the findings of the 2013 to 2014 triennial review of the Council for Science and Technology (CST). It describes the process adopted for the review and presents findings based on the views from a range of stakeholders. The report draws on this evidence to make recommendations on the future of the CST.
Triennial reviews are a Cabinet Office mandated process to ensure that non-departmental public bodies are still needed and are complying with principles of good corporate governance. Reviews take place every 3 years, unless an exemption is agreed by the Cabinet Office.
