Country graduation from UK preferences scheme – Vietnam and Samoa

This notice sets out the country graduation of Vietnam and Samoa from the UK’s unilateral preferences scheme for developing countries.

Details

Samoa and Vietnam will no longer be eligible for unilateral preferences when the new Developing Countries Trading Scheme (DCTS) comes into force in early 2023. From that point on, they will have to trade under their respective free trade agreement (FTA) arrangements.

Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar and Philippines will be able to cumulate with Vietnam in the DCTS.
