C. P. Button Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a full licence to abstract water from three groundwater sources within the Trevose Slate Formation located at Polshea Farm, St Tudy, Bodmin, Cornwall, PL30 3PA. The National Grid References for the three sources are SX 06318 77776 (borehole), SX 06568 77578 (borehole), and SX 06751 78407 (artesian spring).
The application is to abstract water as follows:
- 9 cubic metres an hour
- 180 cubic metres a day
- 65,700 cubic metres a year
- All year.
The water will be used for the purposes of agriculture other than spray irrigation and private water undertaking.
