Cross-Government Prosperity Fund Assessments

The Prosperity Fund was a cross-government Fund that was in existence from 2015 to 31 March 2021, with prosperity programming transferring to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office.

Details

The Prosperity Fund was established in 2015 as a cross-government Fund, overseen by the National Security Council. 

It was announced as part of the 2015 Strategic Defence and Security Review and was designed to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as well as the 2015 UK Aid Strategy by promoting growth and prosperity in developing countries.   Its aims were to support inclusive growth needed to reduce poverty in partner countries. 

It closed on 31 March 2021.
