Cross-Sector and FCDO Progress Reports on Safeguarding Against Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Sexual Harassment (SEAH) 2019-2020

At the October 2018 Safeguarding Summit on tackling sexual exploitation and abuse and sexual harassment in the aid sector, 8 sets of commitment documents were presented by different groups of organisations based around 4 broad areas:

  1. support for survivors, enhanced accountability and strengthened reporting
  2. cultural change, leadership and better HR processes
  3. meeting minimum standards
  4. strengthened organisational capacity and capability

Two years on from the summit, we are publishing 2 progress reports that highlight key actions, challenges and lessons from the past year:

  • FCDO Progress Report: A summary of work by FCDO between October 2019 and October 2020 to improve global standards and performance on safeguarding against SEAH in the international aid sector
  • Cross-sector Progress Report: A summary of work between October 2019 and October 2020 by the groups and organisations that made commitments at the October 2018 London Safeguarding Summit, and others working to align their safeguarding work with the long-term shifts identified at the Summit
