1. CIPS Supply Management Awards
We’re delighted to say we have been shortlisted in the CIPS Supply Management Awards in two categories:
- best contribution to the reputation of procurement profession for our early transposition of the EU procurement directives
- best people development initiative for our contract management training

2. Civil Service Live
Civil Service Live returns in September this year providing 6 days of learning across 5 locations:
- Thursday 10 September: St James’ Park, Newcastle
- Monday 14 September: Manchester Central, Manchester
- Tuesday 22 September: Colston Hall, Bristol
- Tuesday 29 September: Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh
- Monday 5 and Tuesday 6 October: Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, London
It is primarily a learning event and the 4 themes this year are: innovation, leadership, new UK government and skills. We will feature within the skills theme, focusing on the commercial profession.
Attendance is free for everyone working in the civil service and registration is open now

3. Events
3.1 P4H: the procurement event for health
As an event partner, we will be exhibiting and speaking on how we are helping the NHS save £100 million. The event is taking place at ICC, Birmingham on Thursday 9 July and is free for public sector buyers to attend. Find out more and register here
3.2 Digital Marketplace roadshows
We are hosting a series of regional Digital Marketplace events with the Government Digital Service and techUK during August and early September. Each event will provide public sector buyers with the latest information on how best to use the Digital Marketplace and share insight into the upcoming changes with G-Cloud and Digital Services.

4. Procurement policy notes
The following procurement policy notes have been published during June:
4.1 Procurement policy note 11/15: unstructured electronic invoices
Central government departments and their arm’s length bodies must accept unstructured e-invoices submitted on or after 30 June 2015. Find out more here
4.2 Procurement policy note 10/15: annual statistical returns on public procurement contracts awarded 2013 and 2014
Annual statistical returns on public procurement contracts awarded above the EU threshold in calendar years 2013 and in 2014 are requested from:
- all central government departments, including executive agencies and non departmental public bodies
- the wider public sector, including local authorities and NHS bodies
Returns (including nil returns) are required by 10 July 2015. Find out more here
4.3 Procurement policy note 09/15: assisting with procurement investigations
This new guidance sets out the requirements for contracting authorities to comply with Mystery Shopper investigations into procurement. View full details here

5. Latest Mystery Shopper results
The Mystery Shopper scheme allows suppliers to report tenders they did not understand or instances of what they believe to be poor procurement practice. The government uses this information to help challenge procurers to be more transparent and open. The scheme publishes the results of investigations every 2 weeks.

6. Contract notices
The following contract notice has recently been published:
- FM Assurance (Heldesk and Computer Aided Facilities Management) Services which is expected to award in September 2015

7. New agreements
The following agreements are now live and available for customers to access:
- Media Monitoring and Evaluation and Related Services (RM3708)
- Technology Services (RM1058)
- Workforce Management (RM1072)
Non Medical, Non Clinical Resource (RM971) has also recently awarded and will go live on 1 July.

8. Recently expired agreements
8.1 Laundry and Linen Services (RM849)
This agreement expired on 24 May 2015. A new agreement is currently being developed and is expected to award in October 2015.
8.2 Telephony Services (RM1035)
This agreement expired on 22 April 2015. It is being replaced by Network Services (RM1045) which is due to award shortly.
9. Agreements expiring shortly
9.1 Data Access Processing and Analytics (RM1016)
This agreement is due to expire on 15 July 2015. We are considering an extension to ensure continuity of service.
9.2 Digital Services (RM1043)
This agreement will expire on 8 August 2015. It is being replaced by Digital Services 2 (RM1043ii) which is due to award shortly.
9.3 Face to Face Translation (RM738)
This agreement is due to expire on 16 July 2015. We are considering an extension to ensure continuity of service.
9.4 Government Office Supplies Contract (RM917)
This agreement is due to expire on 31 July 2015. We are considering an extension to ensure continuity of service.
9.5 GSi Convergence (RM828)
This agreement will expire on 16 August 2015.
9.6 IT Managed Service (RM717)
This agreement will expire on 5 August 2015. It has been replaced by Technology Services (RM1058) which is now live.
9.7 Non Medical, Non Clinical Resource (CM/AAC/09/5124)
This agreement will expire on 30 June 2015. It is being replaced by Non Medical, Non Clinical Resource (RM971) which will go live on 1 July 2015.
9.8 Vehicle Hire (RM807)
This agreement is due to expire on 31 August 2015. It is being replaced by a new Vehicle Hire (RM1062) agreement which is expected to award in August.
10. Agreement extensions
10.1 Agency Nursing (RM970)
This agreement has been extended until 30 June 2016.
10.2 eDisclosure and Hard Copy Review Services (RM924)
This agreement has been extended until 6 June 2016.
10.3 Law Costs Draftsman Services (RM1675)
This agreement has been extended until 25 June 2016.
10.4 Locum Doctors including locum GPs (RM1570)
This agreement has been extended until 30 June 2016.
10.5 Meeting and Events Booking Services (RM1555)
This agreement has been extended until 31 December 2015 to provide continuity of service during the development and launch of Crown Travel and Venue Services which is due to award in July.
