Provides a detailed overview of stakeholder support for the COMPETE principles. This builds on the summary of stakeholder support outlined in the November 2014 Business Taskforce progress report ‘Cut EU red tape: one year on’. It includes evidence of support from:

  • the European Parliament
  • the European Council
  • the Commission’s High Level Group on Administrative Burdens
  • important EU and UK business organisations
  • other stakeholders

The COMPETE principles were originally called for in the October 2013 Business Taskforce report ‘Cut EU red tape’, aimed at preventing unnecessary future EU legislation.
