On 12 August 2013, the Prime Minister set out his ambition for increased levels of cycling, in particular by helping our major cities outside London deliver a surge in cycling similar to that seen in the capital. He announced new funding for 8 cites and 4 national parks to kick-start delivery of the ambition. This document explains the government’s ambition in more detail and summarises new funding and policy commitments that will support an increase in cycling.
