Details

This Part of the Bill provides a specific regime for the processing of personal data by the intelligence services.

This Bill will:

  • Ensure that the processing of personal data by these services is subject to appropriate and proportionate controls, consistent with the latest international standards, which recognise the critical role of the intelligence services in tackling the current and future threats to national security.
