This guidance supports a data sharing agreement established between the Department for Education (DfE) and the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in relation to the National Careers Service and Jobcentre Plus (JCP). The data sharing agreement and this operational guidance apply across England.

This guidance is for:

  • National Careers Service prime contractors
  • National Careers Service sub-contractors working with JCP
  • National Careers Service careers advisers

Expiry or review date 

This guidance will be reviewed on an annual basis.
