In this report experts from PA Consulting, ONS, IPA and the Blavatnik School of Government (University of Oxford) explore how public sector leaders can unlock the power of data to create a more prosperous and purposeful public sector.
The study is based on qualitative research and in-depth interviews with 29 experts from 20 organisations. The report:

  • Analyses the potential for data-sharing to achieve the UK Government’s five missions
  • Explores the data-sharing challenges the public sector faces
  • Explores ten key areas of focus and offer practical recommendations

The report recommends drawing up a practical delivery plan for transforming data-sharing in the public sector - a transformation that’s crucial for the public sector to achieve the UK Government’s five missions.
