David Campey trading as Sandhill Farms has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is to vary licence serial number NE/027/0024/043 which authorises the abstraction of water from Wharfe & Lower Ouse Sherwood Sandstone at National Grid Reference SE 58193 31290.

The variation applied for is to increase abstraction quantities.

The current licence permits:

  • 55,000 cubic metres per year
  • 600 cubic metres per day
  • 45 cubic metres per hour
  • Instantaneous rate: 12.5 litres per second

The proposed increased rates are:

  • 55,000 cubic metres per year
  • 1,600 cubic metres per day
  • 90 cubic metres per hour
  • Instantaneous rate: 25 litres per second
