Dawlish Warren and Exmouth beach management

How the Environment Agency and Teignbridge District Council are managing coastal erosion at Dawlish Warren and Exmouth.

This publication was withdrawn on 19 August 2015

Beach management works are not currently required at Exmouth. Therefore, the scheme will focus on the works at Dawlish Warren and will now be referred to as the Dawlish Warren Beach Management Scheme.

Details

This document explains the plans to replace sand that has been lost through erosion at Dawlish Warren. This will improve the area for the environment and those who visit the Warren. It will also help to reduce tidal flood risk to nearly 3,000 properties and the main railway into the south-west.
