Details
Whitchurch Lock will be closed to boat traffic on Wednesday 4 November 2020 from 7am to 1pm. It may be possible to facilitate limited boat movements during this time, but this cannot be guaranteed.
This closure is required to allow divers to de-silt the area in front of and around the head lock gates. Silt has built up in this area and is now compromising the operation of the lock gates. Lower mitre seal blocks will also be fitted and the hydraulic pressure will adjusted.
