Details

Depending on the circumstances, the leaflet may also be helpful for those whose family member has died following other contact with the police. It sets out the initial information that families need to know about their rights and what happens next.

This leaflet was created as part of the government’s response to Dame Elish’s report of the independent review of deaths and serious incidents in police custody, published on 30 October 2017.
