Details

The UK is responsible for for 14 overseas territories, 11 of which are permanently inhabited. They are diverse in size, economic and social development and systems of governance. The territories are British but are not constitutionally part of the UK. They have their own constitutions and most have a democratically elected government.

This paper describes the support the Department of Energy & Climate Change offers to the overseas territories on climate and energy issues.
