The Traffic Commissioner for the West Midlands' written decision for GS UK Transport Ltd (OD2017149) and Komalpreet Kaur - Transport Manager

Documents

Details

The Traffic Commissioner for the West Midlands decided:

  • The operator’s licence is revoked under sections 27(1)(a) [loss of good repute and no longer professionally competent] and also under sections 27(1)(b), 26(1)(a), 26(1)(b), 26(1)(c)(iii), 26(1)(f), 26(1)(e) and 26(1)(h) of the Act. All of these orders of revocation take effect at 2359 hours on 25 October 2024.

  • If a future application is made by GS UK Transport Ltd for an operator’s licence authorising no more than 5 vehicles and 3 trailers and if it is accompanied by:

    (a) A full maintenance related audit from an independent, competent and accredited auditor that scores the operator as being at least “Mostly Satisfactory” in every area of compliance that is audited; and
    (b) Proof that director Dilpreet Singh has successfully completed an Operator’s Licence Awareness Training course (“OLAT”); then

I am likely to look at such an application favourably on the papers. Such an audit must only cover compliance from 16 July 2024 onwards.

Transport Managers

  • Transport manager Komalpreet Kaur has lost her good repute as a transport. She is disqualified as a transport manager with immediate effect under paragraph 16(2) in Schedule 3 of the Act. The order of disqualification is for 18 months and will end at 2359 hours on 25 January 2026.

  • The application to add Mr Tarvinderjit Grewal as the transport manager specified on this operator’s licence will be granted with immediate effect from the point in time that he confirms (in writing) that he still wishes to be the transport manager for this operator despite my decision to revoke the licence.
