The Emergency Response Driver (ERD) courses delivered by the Defence Fire Training and Development Centre (DFTDC) are designed to teach selected firefighters within the Ministry of Defence estate the skills to safely drive fire appliances under various conditions. It builds on the skills aquired during large goods vehicle (LGV) training and includes
