Details
The data is provided by the Department for Education (DfE), including its executive agencies and non-departmental public bodies, for public contracts awarded under the Procurement Act 2023 where:
- a tender notice or transparency notice was published on or after 1 January 2026
- the public contract is worth more than £5 million per annum (including VAT)
Payment spot check summary reports ensure 30-day payment terms are being implemented throughout the supply chain in public sub-contracts.
We are committed to publishing these reports online within 3 months of the spot check.

Reporting of payment spot checks started in January 2026. The return for January to March 2026 relates to the final reporting period of the 2025 to 2026 financial year.
