Details

QDS documents give members of the public an easy-to-see snapshot of departmental spending.

Each summary consists of the quarterly data summary, an accompanying list of departmental targets on which money is spent (such as school quality measurements and pupil attainment standards), and an explanation sheet of the measurements used.

The summary itself shows the total spend in 3 different ways:

• the total amount of money spent during the quarter
• the quarterly total arranged by internal operations, such as IT contracts and building costs
• the quarterly total arranged by transactions, such as wages and school grant payments
