Digital technologies have become increasingly powerful and pervasive globally. They have also become widely recognised as important enablers towards meeting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.

This digital development strategy for 2024 to 2030 sets out the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office’s (FCDO’s) approach to international development in the context of rapidly evolving digital technologies. It explains how the FCDO will partner with developing countries to support digital transformation that accelerates their development and manages emerging risks.

The strategy takes forward the approach set out in the white paper on international development.
