This direction confirms that Dave Hill has been appointed as the new Children’s Social Care Commissioner for Birmingham.

This direction follows publication on 25 November 2016 of an Ofsted report which judged the overall effectiveness of Birmingham’s children’s social care services as inadequate.

This direction has closed and a direction issued by DfE on 23 March 2018 replaces it.
