Disability Confident aims and objectives

This document sets out the aims and objectives of Disability Confident – encouraging employers to recruit and retain more disabled people.

This was published under the 2015 to 2016 Cameron Conservative government

Through Disability Confident, the government is working with employers to:

  • challenge attitudes towards disability
  • increase understanding of disability
  • remove barriers
  • ensure that disabled people have the opportunities to fulfil their potential and realise their aspirations
