This statement is the first annual modern slavery statement published by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities and covers the period from 1 April 2020 until 31 March 2021.

It sets out how we take action against modern slavery in our supply chain, and covers:

  • organisation structure and supply chain
  • departmental policies relating to modern slavery
  • risk assessment and due diligence
  • training and awareness within the department
  • key performance indicators to improve
