Details

The domestic energy affordability support schemes for Northern Ireland were implemented from the winter of 2022 to 2023 to support households during a period of exceptional energy price rises.

The schemes in scope of this evaluation, totalling £796 million in spend, are the:

  • Energy Bills Support Scheme and Alternative Fuel Payment (EBSS AFP)
  • EBSS Alternative Funding (EBSS AF)
  • Energy Price Guarantee (EPG)

This report covers the process and early outcome evaluations of the reports. The impact and economic evaluations will be detailed in a separate report.
