Details

Following the publication of the government’s response to Lord Carlile’s report on the Edlington case, the Secretary of State for Education and the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government issued this direction for the improvement of children’s social care in Doncaster.

The direction sets out measures required of Doncaster metropolitan borough council to secure improvements in children’s social care.

This direction was superseded by the direction for improvement issued to Doncaster council in August 2013.
