The government has published its response to the Joint Committee’s Report on the Draft Deregulation Bill today.

The Joint Committee undertook a process of pre-legislative scrutiny on the draft Deregulation Bill from July to December 2013 and published their report on 19 December 2013.

As ministers with responsibility for the Deregulation Bill, the Rt Hon Ken Clarke and Oliver Letwin have welcomed the Joint Committee’s report and would like to thank the Committee for their consideration of the draft Bill. The government has listened carefully to the recommendations of the Committee and responded accordingly
