Response to pre-legislative scrutiny of the draft Modern Slavery Bill

Details

The government published a draft Modern Slavery Bill in December 2013 for pre-legislative scrutiny.

A joint committee of MPs and lords scrutinised that draft bill and published a report in April 2014. The committee took evidence from a wide cross-section of interested parties, holding 13 days of oral evidence hearings.

This document sets out the government’s response to the committee’s report.
