Details

The Driving Standards Agency commissioned AECOM Limited to do a study to find out the impacts of Driver CPC.

This was done by speaking to:

  • drivers
  • trainers
  • operators

The objectives of the research were to:

  • get the views of lorry, bus and coach drivers on their experiences of getting the initial qualification and taking periodic training
  • find out from operators if they provide training programmes for their drivers
  • get the views of operators about the impact of Driver CPC on recruitment and retention of drivers, and any benefits they’ve had because of the training
